I didn't know Roger Rabbit was having a resurgence! It was my number 1 favorite movie as a little girl in the early '90s, and my favorite comfort toy that I took with me literally everywhere was a Roger plushie (until I lost him when I was 5 and I cried for days. My grandad bought me a new one but it wasn't the same). I was thrilled when I re-watched it as a teenager and saw how well it stood up, and I feel like it's one of those movies that gets better as I age and understand the nuance. It's always been a bit of an 'indie' film, I'm glad to know it's getting the recognition it deserves at last!
Roger Rabbit was also one of my comfort movies! It was incredibly important to me during my formative years, and I watched it fairly religiously. No one in my family ever said anything about it, and I watched it A LOT with my grandparents. I am so happy that they are selling merch with the characters on it again, but for WHATEVER stupid reason, it's also become QUITE popular to dunk on it. People are exhausting!
