Prompt/Request: Something happens to Neal's plane

Characters: Peter, any others as needed for POV/story

I would like: The plane Neal and Mozzie are on never reaches its destination. Obviously a passenger plane going missing/crashing somewhere/whatevs is big news, and Peter will hear about it. Maybe just is convinced/has a gut feeling that it's Neal's plane, or he finds confirmation, or just can't be sure. Maybe if there's a crash site he pulls strings to get out there just in case. Anyway, angst commences etc - do whatever you want with this!

I don't want: I'm fine with most things, up to and including character death. Except a crossover with Lost.

Basically, I may or may not have been watching the last 30 seconds half-convinced that the plane was about to explode. My brain, what is it.

LOL, it's not just you -- for me, it wasn't the plane; it was the moment when Neal says "see you soon" and then he and Peter separate. Everything about that scene screamed "something awful is about to happen to one of them!" and I was fully expecting Neal to get shot out of nowhere or an explosion in the building where Peter was giving his testimony or something catastrophic along those lines.

I'm so glad it's not just me who's been conditioned to think SOMETHING TERRIBLE IS GOING TO HAPPEN at lines like that XD (Also, I was really hoping for an explosion in the finale. I just like explosions *gg*)

Glad it wasn't just me too. I had the something really terrible is going to happen feeling too. I thouhgt that Neal was going to get kidnapped or something when he was walking away after talking to Peter at the end.

Mozzie: But... that makes no sense.

LMAO. Oh god. It would be awesome. Can't you just see Peter trying to bust Kate, too? I bet he'd seen her wanted posters around. It would put a new spin on that scene with her and Jack:

Ahem, I plan to write the plane fic though! I was pondering it just before and ended up writing an outline. I can't resist that kind of angst. XD I will post here when it's done!

Daniel: We are all in terrible danger! You must have a constant, someone who has known you for years and years and can anchor you and stop you from dying in some badly-explained way involving nosebleeds!
Peter: I'm fine, I have Elizabeth! (flashback to them being couple-y in a plot-irrelevant way)

I have so much residual grudge for Lost XD It was all Jack standing and crying with MANPAIN and ANGST in the rain while all the characters I liked DIED and there were about a million plot threads which were started and then NEVER HAD ANY RESOLUTION. And I kept watching for all six seasons, I have no idea why XD XD

...it would be vastly improved by having White Collar land in it, and it would make as much sense as anything else that happened :P

I finally gave up in disgust at all the "We don't HAVE to make sense, we're just gonna FUCK WITH YOUR HEADS" scriptwriting... but between the "teaser" ads and the fact that two other people in the house were still watching, I still had a fairly good idea what was going on in the final season.

Damn right... but I wouldn't wish the fuck-headedness of the "Lost"-verse on the characters I love from "White Collar". :-(
