I may be over-interpreting it, but the CNN headline "Frigid weather across U.S. renders numbers meaningless" seems a little far-reaching. I mean... heck, it gets waaay colder than that every year in Russia, and they don't have any problems with their mathematics.

You work with numbers? But... aren't you a mathematician?

I suppose there's always the small integers. But maybe there is some way to get those winterized, e.g., a good set of snow tires and some low-viscosity lubricants.
