Does anyone know what the kind of sword used by the Magi in The Mummy Returns is called? It's some kind of recurved scimitar.

EDIT: I think I figured it out. It's a Turkish yatagan.

Not too shabby of an improvisation on the scimitar no?

Downfall about it is that the curve is inverted and appears one sided.

The basis of the arabian scimitar was that it was perfect for getting the curved edge under the neck of your enemy, practically guaranteeing decapitation.

the Egyptian one was called a Khopesh.

It is very cool, yes. and that is the sword in "the mummy returns"
but I would rather have a scimitar! Now that's a sword!
