I agree with your little rant/statement, and I've been thinking a bit on that subject lately too. Though I suppose my thinking about it has been less psychological and more sociological -- that is, less about a person's personal affairs and more about how a person treats others. Mainly because I sometimes think I don't pay enough attention to some family or friends, or I might cause greater harm/pain to others than necessary simply out of selfishness (or vice versa: I might hinder myself too much by trying to help others more should be feasible).
But the end of the argument is the same. Class, dignity, and honor (I think respect might be overrated, heh). I like to think I possess those traits, because as you know, I tend to overanalyze everything both before and after it happens!
