A couple of things...

Remember the friend that I had that I finished with around this time last year? Specifically, this one? Well, she gave me a call last week and we had lunch. She apologized for taking our friendship for granted and causing us to drift apart and we hung out during the day, talking and catching up. She wants to be friends ( Read more... )

I don't know if you ever read this post, but it's 2013 I've not forgiven her, nor have I ever decided to meet with her outside of work as friend. I've removed her from my LJ f-list, I banned her on FaceBook before I deleted my account all together.

In short: I don't intend to forgive her for a long time coming.

If your instincts say you can't trust her, then don't forgive her and don't let her back into your life.

That's just me.

You have good head on your shoulders and I trust your opinion. You're preaching to the choir, sweetie.

Hi hi!

I'm so total lost in photoshop right now, so... I'm passively watching and not following.

I've been in your position - with my ex-BFF. I cut her off cold about three years ago and have never looked back. I also had a few mutual friends who urged us to reconcile, but I've never done so. Trusted my instincts and I'm comfortable with that.

Just do what you feel comfortable with and it should be the right decision.

Hear, hear. That girl from my story wasn't a BFF-- but I was a better friend to her than she was to me. I sometimes regret, and then I remember that she was a shit-friend and that clears it up.

You can't be friends with someone you don't trust, especially with someone who you still don't forgive for past things. It's as simple as that. Everything else is a lie and work; not friendship. Go with your feeling.
