“Donna,” Sam called across the parking garage.
“What?” she asked a bit more sharply than she had intended; she was tired and she was sick of Sam’s arctic attitude towards her.
“I’m sorry. For the way I’ve treated you. It… wasn’t fair and it had nothing to do with you,” he said and she raised her eyebrows.
“Okay,” she said slowly, and he gave her a tired half smile, his arm wrapped around his sore ribs. “You need a ride home?” she asked, glancing between his ribs and his bike, offering an olive branch.
“That’d be great,” he smiled gratefully.
