It's pretty neat. What if guitarists used lots of effects changes for color? I haven't seen that much of it besides in some more avant-garde live looping.

Yes, I'm not sure how serious they are on this. But it shows how you can use max and other sound processing languages to build unique instruments quickly.

Did it take them a long time to put it together? Are these guys from your lab? (how big is the program, anyway? ...)

I think it's a class project for Sergi Jorda's(one of the reactable guys) class on Realtime Interaction, so I'm not sure how long they worked on it.

They are from the lab, they are Master's students.
