Keep the crush a secret, and don't pursue a relationship. It's bound to fail, someone will get fired, and it'll probably be you.
One of the episodes of Closer depicted this problem very well. Two detectives on her team started dating then broke up. Little arguments would explode during the day. The male part of the couple was the Closer's "favorite". He complained to the Closer that the situation was intolerable, and was interfering with their work, so one of them should be transferred to another team.
The Closer looked at her favorite and asked if he was familiar with finances enough to do a financial investigation. He said no, and she said that the best resolution then would be to transfer him instead of the girlfriend. Not the answer he expected.
