This compels me to tell you that I mentioned to a livejournal community that I knew someone who had to give up her kitties because her baby had CF. (Someone had asked, basically, if there was ever an acceptable reason to give away your pets.)

Um, I'm pretty sure this is not what you're talking about but! I had a sudden rush of guilt about it. Because I adore and respect you. :)

This isn't remotely close to what I was talking about, and don't feel guilty at all.
In fact, if it allieviates your guilt we still have the cats. Wes decided that he would rather vacuum more often than break his little girls heart.

Oh, I'm so happy to hear that! It's such a very sad thought, you with no cats. :)

Haha, I lied to the internet and I didn't even know it.

Ok, I admit it! I tell people the story about how you lived in apartment for years where the roof leaked all the way down to the first story, and that you were able to negotiate to have a substantial part of your rent reduced for years.

It sucks to find out that some one you thought was your friend is using your life for entertainment purposes.

Now, that type of story is okay to spread around. Especially if it helps other people fight for improved conditions or reduced rent!
Aside from that, you lived there too, so it's partially your story.
It really does suck to find out that my life is good for the entertainment of others

I once had to explain to someone the dangers of leaving a ford probe in drive and leaping out of the car.
