This is, seriously, one of the best characterizations of what the daughter of The Doctor and River could turned out to be. I love that Jack can see both of her father and mother in her. I love the kind of relationship she has with the Doctor. There's Jack! And the mention of River almost make me forgive her absence. I love specially the end. That Brook choose not to run. That she would choose to have a normal life or as close as she can. Amazingly well done!

Oh, wow, thank you, so much. I definitely tried to give her as much of both of her parents as I could without making her a caricature of either one of them, because in my head she's 100% her own person, but I'm never really sure if that comes across to anybody who doesn't live in my head, so I'm basically just chuffed to bits that it does. Thank you! (And Jack and River will definitely be making a reappearance, btw. :D)

*incoherent sounds*

Everything about this was wonderful. Of course, at first I thought the "gorgeous redhead" was Amy, and then it turned out to be Brook, who is related to her after all. ;) And Jack! This was a great characterization.

Come to think of it, the one and only time he's ever had the pleasure of meeting River Song, she gave him that exact look.

HOW CAN YOU TEASE US LIKE THIS. If anyone can portray that epic meeting, it's you.

The 97-year old teenager! Someone already said how masterful your characterization of the Doctor and River's daughter is; a perfect blend of both their personalities. And the ending just gutted me.

"I'm not running from anything," she says.

"Oh," he says simply.

ALL MY TEARS.

I don't know if the universe is prepared for the time that Jack met River Song. BUT I AM WILLING TO GIVE IT A TRY. :D Arg, I need to redraw the wacky timeline for this universe again to slot that in properly. I NEED BIGGER PIECES OF PAPER.

Ahhhh there is so much in my head about that one tiny piece of dialogue about not running. I have so many ~feelings~ about Brook and why she does the things she does, and they're all condensed and packed into that one line and I was really hoping someone would also feel feelings about that line, even if they are somewhat sad feelings, because if there's a line anywhere in the millionty words this story is growing into that sums her up in her first regeneration, it's that.

THERE ARE HAPPY WACKY TIMES AHEAD THOUGH I PROMISE. :D

All the feelings!
Jack...oh, goodness, Jack. That was amazing. I LOVED that he could see the Doctor and River in Brook. And the Doctor's parental-ness! (I think I just made up a word...) That was brilliant, I loved it.
And the ending...all the tears. All if them. The thought of Brook wanting a normal life and the Doctor beig so sad about it...and then the line about nuclear physics. That was just wonderful.
Love this 'verse. It is amazing. As are you, for writing it and more.

Thank you so much! (And lol, I'm pretty sure that I make up words all the time, parentalness counts as far as I'm concerned. :D) I am so glad that you're liking the series!

You are amazing for reading! ♥♥♥ Hopefully there will be more by the end of the week if I can get all my holiday challenge stories shuffled out the door. :D
