FOOOOOOD!

You know of the Jiffy and the Quorn. Great minds. :-) I grew up on Jiffy Cornbread and while I can make cornbread from scratch now, nothing beats Jiffy sometimes.

That cake made my mouth water. Ooh, and I love when the cake is a leetle overcooked. Brown crispy-sweet edges that are sharp and you have to cover with the extra soft frosting. I could almost taste the butter in that frosting and the crunch of the sweet sprinkles through it.

Oh. My. God. I always get hungry commenting to you! You know I had quesadillas and guacamole last week? Of course I did. Now I want to make yellow cake. I had pies planned for Christmas but CAAAAAKE. :-)

Jiffy is just so easy! And it is the cornbread of my childhood, so I can never really stop using it.

It was a pretty good cake! I would make it again! Next time I will make it with the chocolate frosting on the Smitten Kitchen post. Mmmmmmm.

Now I want dessert, lol! Ooh, or some guacamole. I could always eat guacamole. We had tacos and avocado last week, too, but sadly no mojitos. I should fix that.

Nope (I'm hoping that she will refuse!) And then you can both come up in the cold un-white north of New Jersey/New York and WE ALL WIN!!!!!

one moviegoer with a terrible aversion to cinnamon
I PROUDLY reveal my secret identity as a cinnamon hater. Blame my mother and the endless days of cinnamon toast in my youth.

But omg, they did not suffer at ALL. I still miss those delicious pasties.

(Seriously, how do British people not giggle every time they make stuff like that?)

Hey, no worries! Those pies were delicious. I may never make them with cinnamon.

(I don't know how anyone doesn't giggle when the word pasties is mentioned. For real!)

Oh wow, my life is pretty much complete if you never use cinnamon in those. I mean Mary had to warn Rani not to propose marriage to you; that should prove how exactly unnecessary cinnamon is!

Please let us know as soon as you decide to make them again. We may have a six movie marathon on our hands!

I try and post them when I know the maximum amount of people on my flist are going, "Man, I'm hungry." I have an app for that. ;)

J/K, J/K! Seriously, though, I would love to bake with you! We will have so much fun! And then we will EAT ALL THE THINGS. :D :D :D

I MUST MAKE THAT POTATO CASSEROLE RITE NAO. Fail of England - they do not sell frozen grated potatoes so I must grate them (and my hands) myself.

YOU HAVE NO FROZEN POTATOES? THAT IS INDEED FAIL! D:

I forgot to mention, but if you use fresh potatoes, you might pat 'em down (ahahahaha) with a dish towel so they're not soggy in the casserole!

Take care with your precious hands! ♥
