Those Adama boys are frakking adorable. But I laughed out loud and had to tell my husband about the Stand and Deliver line, which of course took some explaining about the AU plot and it was long and involved but worth it in the end because he thought it was hilarious too and he is SO NOT A FANGIRL. So that's high praise indeed.

I know this is quoting like 50% of the fic back at you but this part was just priceless:

"Everything went great," Lee is saying, and they can practically hear the smile on his face. "Guess it just goes to show you that I should never have asked for your advice in the first place! I think I'm gonna ask her to come to the cabin for Christmas. Oh, fuck me," Lee's voice says, "I think she heard that. Um, listen, I'll...call you later, okay?" There's a pause and a scuffle, and they can hear their brother's voice of protest. "Hey, Kara, dammit, what--!"

"Lee's indisposed," says an amused female voice. "He'll call you back."

LOVE.

LOL. I just couldn't resist sneaking that line in there! XD I like to think they must have a family joke about how Bill and that actor in Stand and Deliver were totally separated at birth.

Lee will learn eventually that when Kara says, "I'm gonna take a shower," that means, "Why don't you follow me," and not, "Why don't you call your brothers." ;)

I love the dynamic between Zak and Sam and them ragging on Lee, and I think it's hilarious that Dee is married to Zak! And Kara stealing the phone away at the end is so her, I love it. MORE PLEASE!!

You know, I've been arguing with myself about that one since I started trying to plot out the rest of this, and I think that biologically, she's not, but she's been around since the boys were very young, and they call her Mom. And I will stop myself there so as not to go overboard with typing out the entire backstory ;)

Aww, I like that backstory very much! I much prefer stepmom Laura to biological mom Laura. Oh think of l the trouble those boys got into when they were young! How could you not love them?
