I'm stumped. I can't think of a single song that makes me feel guilty. I think this is an odd prompt.
Maybe if there was a song sung from a cow's perspective, lamenting the poor living conditions that she endures just so that I can have cheese. Aw....sad! But mmm...cheese. *conflicted*
So help me out. What song makes you feel guilty?

The only song I can think of that I felt somewhat guilty for liking was "More Than Words" by Extreme. It's pretty and I loved singing along with it, but I felt like it had a bad message - if the girl really loved him, she'd sleep with him. I could have misinterpreted the lyrics, but they seemed rather obvious, even to my adolescent self.

Personally, I’ve got a couple of songs that make me feel guilty about my treatment of boyfriends (“Round and Round” by New Order) and some family members (“Black and Blue” by The Counting Crows), but I was raised on guilt. That might be why you couldn’t find songs…you had a healthy upbringing?

I can see how tug-at-the-heart-strings songs are designed to make a person feel guilty, but they usually don't make me feel that way.

I can't really think of anything. Not that I'm not guilty of anything, but a song that made me / reminds me of feeling guilty? Nothing comes to mind.
Only thing that comes to mind is a slight twist on the meaning of the word "guilty" ... On the KISS solo albums from the 80s, Paul Stanley had a song called "Love In Chains". My bestie Tiffany said that song was about me, that I keep my love in chains rather than let myself be open and risk getting hurt.
And I had to say then (and probably now too) that yep, guilty as charged.
If you apply the prompt this way, does anything come to mind?
