Paolo Rivera does Captain America

So my first reaction was, Wow, this is a great encapsulation of Captain America as aspirational icon, from the concept to the Obama-appropriated Soviet realism style. (Or a great encapsulation of Captain America as propaganda, if you prefer.)

My second reaction was, Wow, Paolo Rivera really does not believe in sexless superheroes.

Wow, that movie-style poster is really beautiful. And the propaganda one is good too. :)

As with Rivera's Dali Wolverine, I really like these both because the execution is beautiful and because they are clever commentary on the concepts behind the characters: the propaganda and the idealism behind Captain America, the memory reconstruction behind Wolverine.

Wow, the other Wolverine variants are very cute and all, but this is a really nice deconstruction of the character. Thanks for the link. :)

Princess Captain America is the movie I want to see! She could team up with Hushpuppy from Beasts of the Southern Wild and save the world.

I'm concerned he doesn't have some kind of athletic supporter/cup situation.
