Your introduction to Star Trek: TNG My grandpa use to watch it all the time and whenever I was with him, I'd sit down and watch it. It got me hooked and I haven't stopped watching yet.

Have you seen the new movie yet? If so, what did you think of it? Saw it Monday and loved it. I over look the non-established canon aspects of it and view it as sorta an AU. I never liked Shatner's Kirk but I adore Chris Pine as Kirk and the kid that plays Chekov is my favorite I think. His accent was so adorable.

Disney World has Star Wars weekends?! That's so cool. I think that sounds like it might be more fun than a convention.

And I agree about the new relationship. It was like "uh" but I think all the scifi I watch lets me take slightly odd changes like that in stride. Must be all those AU episodes scifi shows like to do.

Yep :) They have them every summer since around 2000 or something. This is the 2nd year I've been to them and I got to meet Ray Park and Warwick Davis last weekend :D

Are you me? LOL My mum loves Star Trek, too, so I watched it with her growing up instead of cartoons, DS9 is my favourite, I love the Cardassians and Dukat is my favourite Star Trek villian ever, I liked the new movie except the Spock/Uhura thing was weird (and it irked me that Amanda dies, even though it's an alternate universe).

ok so I'm skipping ALL the things we have in common (VOY, Janeway, Q, Worf, Picard, J/C, XF) and going straight to your comment about acting. I'm an actor (moonlighting as a cashier) and the whole financial thing sucks. The day job takes too much time away from what you really wanna do. There's this really cool class I wanna do but it's so expensive. Grr! LOL
