I'm not sure what temperature it got to here in Sydney today; fluffworld said it was supposed to hit 40C. Which is quite a lot, although not the highest I've been in; according to the digital temperature gauge on the lifeguard's hut at the Dead Sea, it was 49C while we were there ( Read more... )

We're hitting the other end of the scale today. -29oC with the wind, and likely to be similar tomorrow. Still, it means there'll still be plenty of snow come the weekend when the temp will rise to a balmy -8oC, and we hit the ski slopes! :D

Don't think I'd be very good at +40oC. Little too hot for me.

As for the physicists, well, least said soonest mended.

Just thing of them like pixels on your computer monitor. They can have red, green or blue "colour". All three RGB together make white.

Although apparently you can also have anti-red, anti-green and anti-blue, which also add together to make white. I just think of that as a LCD monitor on the other side of the planet or something.

@sasori: Oi!

I'm in Canberra this weekend, but will you be about next week? It'd be lovely to catch up.

That's cool - we could catch up for a drink later on, say the Parkview at ten or something? Otherwise, I could do lunch tomorrow somewhere close to where you stay?
