Heh. I just reckon seconds after this foto was taken, some kinda hell-raising started, for sure.

the novelty of a truly good cup of coffee can make him stay an extra night if he's got nowhere to be

This piece is pervaded with pain, but somehow this sentence is the saddest. Something about Dean alone on the road, finding comfort in a good cup of coffee and even staying an extra day to savor it, it just tugs at my heart. Wonderful story throughout. Thank you for sharing this!

i imagine that dean found solace wherever he could while he was out there on his own, you know?

It's not often that someone manages to *capture* the feel of a character in (shall we call it a double-drabble?) so short a space, but I believe you managed it. Now I shall read it again. And possibly once more, but then bed. Thank you for sharing

You always sum up Dean so well. Reading your stories is like finding scraps of paper he's left behind. Accidental notes lost and left trailing in the constant shuffle forward. Scratch paper in a hotel room, a scribbled on receipt forgotten in a diner booth, scattered thoughts covering a crumpled napkin by the roadside. That's how it feels when I read something like this. Your pieces of Dean. Thank you for sharing them. I'm immensely fond of these glimpses.
