Yes yes yes to all of these things. I'm kind of hoping Rey is not Luke's as well -- that Skywalker Force lineage is a weeeeee bit unstable. (If a connection turns up in a future episode of Rebels, I bet it's the Max von Sydow character from the very beginning of the movie. He's old enough to have been active in the Rebels timeframe.)
I can't decide if I should be freaked out or proud of myself for knowing this! The actress who plays the doc who patches up Chewie is Harriet Walker. She's been in tons of stuff, but I've seen her most recently in Downton Abbey as Lady Shackleton. I recognized her voice in TFA before her face. :)
