What better way to start the year's first linkspam than with a new baby animal? And I am impressed: I have never ever heard of a potto.

Oddly enough, one of my VERY favorite books when I was a wee girl was And it Rained which featured a pig, a parrot and a potto who kept having their tea party ruined by the rain. Pottos!

Did you know that some of the descendants of those camels still live in northern Texas? If you drive through the town of Electra, you can catch glimpses of them on the plains.
