So... the latest Dresden Files novel might be a bit disappointing of a shocker? I remember getting to the end of Scales of Gold by Dorothy Dunnett, and feeling like I'd been thrown out of a bus. There's HSQ and then there's utterly horrifying HSQ. I'm not so much a fan of the second.

Oooh that sounds good! I hope it does get picked up. And the writer is Kevin Murphy who wrote on MST3K which I've heard good things about so hopefully it'll actually be written well. I can always hope...

Uhhhh... I don't think it's talking about the disappointing so much as there is a RATHER HUGE SPANNER thrown into things on like the LAST PAGE that made many many people like... SCREAM.

Hee! The most recent Dresden book did have some issues, but yeah, I think people are definitely freaking the hell out about the way Butcher has upended the chessboard and let all the pieces fall on the floor.
