Oh, I can't tell you how desperate I am now to see that last scene onscreen. < sniffling > Karen is a really, really wonderful character, I could totally see her as being related to Sam and Dean, and her perspective on the years after John disappeared with the boys just breaks my heart. The style is perfect, too -- little slices of time and place that just resonate. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Oh, wonderful! Such a great concept for a story, and Karen is a lovely character. I felt so sad for her, searching all these years, and the final scene made me so happy. I love the idea of the boys still having family out there somewhere, somebody who would care for them. Thank you for writing this.

This was really self-indulgent of me, because my family is so important to me, I can't imagine the three of them just disappearing and nobody ever looking for them...

Thank you! I have a thing for real, pragmatic people: happily that ended up driving the story, since I had to figure out why we'd never heard of her, and why she wouldn't be dead.

I hope you get to see your sister soon!
