Okay, Phase 1 is finished. Congratulations to all the participants; this year’s remix may have the best all-around balance of good stories, and special recognition is due velvetwhip and dragonyphoenix, who were both new to the remix phenomenon but achieved bang-up debuts ( Read more... )

Oddly, I seem to do more writing when I’m steadily working a job than when I have s surfeit of free time. I’ve never known you to renege or fail on a fic commitment, though, so we’ll see what we have at the end of the month.

I've already gotten one serious idea for a new non-Remix fanfic from the feedback I got from my first round Remix, so I like the idea of continuing momentum here. :-)

I suspected you’d be good for this, with only some unknown-to-me RL issue (or other fanfic commitment) preventing it. So, we so far have 50% Phase 2 participation. I’ll call this a successful test.

September was a busy month (job, trip to CA for 30 yr high school reunion) and had to hustle to get my Remix out. A bit less eventful this month.

I'm working on my first story in this round right now--involving a certain expert in creating awesome gadgets from scratch interacting with a certain awesome heroine--but I'm hoping I can finish in the next day or two and take a snap re-evaluation of the field quickly enough to get a second story in before the deadline. No promises there, but I seem to be in a writing mood. . :-)

OK, the annoying complication of my job moving four and a half miles to a new location this week has delayed any additional stories for the time being--but I will have a shining new MacGyver/Modesty Blaise remix posted before PDT drifts into November. . .:-)
