I wouldn't go far as to say that you always learn more from failures than from successes, but in this case I would say that it is true. I'd tried to write a short note in Russian to a friend, but got a couple of things wrong. Lunch time thinking about my language studies. It feels like I need to build my own lessons for things I'm sticking on. If I can make one lesson per week, and drill on the same lesson HARD for a full week, I think I'll be able to move each lesson's contents into long-term memory. Had my last class tonight. We mostly talked about verbs of motion, but we did go off on a tangent, something my teacher learned in school. Russian grammar and endings are actually pretty consistent most of the time. In school, she learned an apparently now infamous phrase.
