The Real World

It was seventy-seven degrees and sunny in Cleveland today, and though only a few trees are starting to turn, you can tell by the angle of the light and the scent in the air that autumn is here. It is young, true, but it’s there all the same, if you have eyes to recognize it. You know it because there will be a day like today in about a month. The ( Read more... )

I have found that I have been spending less time online while at home, which means that there are people I have less interactions with. Most of my long distance interactions are through chat mediums. Some of those people I just don't chat with online. I am fairly certain that there would be at least 3-5 relationships that would survive going dark. Now, if I didn't have my cell phone too, well, that would make life a bit more difficult.

On a totally different part of your post, you were talking about the impending season. I've been feeling fall creeping in for a couple of weeks. About a week ago I noticed the first real signs of fall...the first of the leaves changing colors. A patch here, and a patch there.

I think I am going to take a trip up to Whipps when the colors start to move a little more.

I disconnect on a regular basis. One way is on my motorcycle I only have one option when riding to be there, Riding. If I am not there in that moment I am a danger to myself and others. I can not answer the phone or read tweets, all of my presence must be there balancing between those two wheels.

I live alone but to make sure I don't just hide in my shell I make dinner one night a week for my girl friends family. Feeding them means I have to talk to others people and get feed back. Also nothing challenges your cooking skill like cooking for two people with Celiac and one Autistic teen.
