It looks like ash as it falls.

But snow is different from ashes. Ashes are like death... and snow can help sustain life if you have to.

Obviously a fire that would cause this much ash would be incredibly destructive.

Still, I keep thinking it's ash, even when I'm in it.

The analogy is fairly obvious, barring the difference in temperature.

Honor recently wrote about the state of her house. You had been staying with her, correct? What is your situation now?

I suppose. I can only think of ash when I look at it though.

I am still with her. It's not very livable, but it's not worse then camping either. I'm trying to fix up some space heaters.

Did you need one?

You are right. It's only a surface resemblance, the two are very dissimilar in nature.

Exactly. Sides, its best not to think about fire when we live in a Tree.

Maybe you are correct. Thoughts of destruction don't

Besides that it falls from the sky - why do you think so? Ash is heavy, thick - hard to breathe, hard to see through. Snow is clear and light, and taking a deep breath feels fresh and sharp.

The way it falls. I think ash looks similar, light and drifting. Snow also obscures vision.

If I knew the reason it reminded me, it would be easy to answer, but I don't remember.
