Representing Our Guild at Jonathan Coulton Show.
Jonathan Coulton knows of our guild. At his 6/21 show in NYC, we put a sign on our table representing the guild. When the lights went out, and we realized that there was no way that it would be seen, we draped it over the speaker at the front of the stage.
About three songs into the set he noticed it:
JC: World of Warcraft. Code Monkey Buy You Soda?
ME: It's the name of our guild!
JC: Oh, it's the name of your guild. I thought you were going to buy me soda...You do me honor.
Coulton bowed.
Later on, jfbat and faekitty actually did buy him a soda.
ME: We bought you a soda!
JC: Thank you.
Coulton took it and drank
JC: Hm, Code Monkey buy me soda....Wait, "Code Monkey Buy You Soda" buy me soda.
I propose a new rule that if you're attending a Coulton show, you have to make an ass of yourself an represent the guild. :P
