Sonic Blast 7? That's not going to get him very far.

You have to spend points to hit and points on damage. I'd recommend at least 12 points with blast powers. My PC had twice this which allowed him to fire off two blasts in one session.

I think Paul intentionally wants his PC to be a bit bargain-basement, so a fairly limited blast power should work with that.

I think the atmosphere is somewhat inherent in a procedural approach anyway. The crime's already done; you're left to see the grimy aftermath.

Excellent! I'm pretty excited about it, myself, if only to see how the players put together the puzzle when only I know what the completed picture is. :)
