I personally don't see the point. I upload maybe 20 photos at a time, once in two to three weeks, and I almost never look at my contacts photos. I don't care for views or comments because they don't really do anything for me. Unlike most people, I have no need for an ego boost.

Some of those points(eg., throttling upload freq) were nice analysis of user behaviour, though many of them would be obvious for ppl using any service with some social element to it.

Thanks. I've already mentioned in the post-script that there's no brilliant flash of enlightenment in here but I still have come across people who do care about their page views but don't realise the importance of such things.

Aren't you supposed to be getting married? Instead of posting theories about tagging, photographarics, and social networking. Right about now?
