The good thing is that there's a lot of momentum behind the innovation framework in the US so it's not going to quickly melt away. At least at this stage, it's more of a stumble than a fall. There's a chance for quick recovery.

My move to Copenhagen, if it happens at all, might take a few years. This was more like a, "hmm... that's another possibility" post.

Halal literally means "permissible". Ergo, non-halal meat (or anything, for that matter) refers to that which isn't permissible. For details you can see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halal

Netherlands has always been my option number one. Not that i can afford to live in amsterdam but, living in rotterdam and working in amsterdam is affordable. It's 30 minutes by train and you get more than just coffee in the "coffee shops."
