Adam waited as Kris said, "You're pregnant. I know we've never had sex, but I read something about this-"
"No," Adam said with great feroshness. Kris barely came up to his waist, and yet his overwhelming love made him at least two inches taller in Adam's eyes.
Kris paused, tears brimming and threatening to spill over, "You're dying of a rare and incurable disease?" If only, Adam thought.
"You're a vampire?"
"No."
"A wizard?"
Adam was a wizard, but it was no use telling Kris that now. He looked down...way down at Kris. The sunshine bounced off Kris' skin like he was 70 SPF sunscreen. With a fake coconut smell. Heaven.
Adam lamented as he watched Kris watch him watch Kris that he had never gotten to ride that like a rodeo, and now he never, ever would. Their differences were like a rather large hill, like a windy raging storm, too high, too deep...no, he couldn't continue this line of thought. He felt his despair grow, deep in the place inside him that cried dark tears and ate too many frosted cupcakes. "Kris," and here Adam took a deep breath, willing his manpain to go away just like everyone he ever loved, "Kris...I'm-" And Kris looked at him, eyes sitting in their sockets lovingly, and Adam couldn't handle it.
He ran out of the room, tears flowing, his jacket flapping behind him, as beautiful as a parrot dressed as a pirate. How would Kris ever be expected to understand...that he was allergic to plaid?
