I will be unable to gorge on yummy sushi this Saturday because I'll be celebrating my sister's 31st birthday with family over Chinese food and pool. I hear barbecue is also in the works for Saturday evening, but I'm not certain about that.
Regardless, I hope that everyone that is able to make it completely enjoys themselves. Eat lots of salmon and tuna for me.
I'd also planned on trying to get together one last sushi outing, combined with a movie night/afternoon, on Sunday 4/22. (Crystal can't make saturday 4/21.) That is, assuming they're still open, or we can find an alternate venue that's not actively dangerous and/or non-tasty. (The only other one I can think of is Todai in Edwards center. It's okay, but not as good as Kirin- poorer sushi selection supplemented by so-so cooked fare, and it has all the group-friendly, conversational atmosphere of an inner-city Luby's cafeteria.) I'll make a formal post/call for RSVPs on my own LJ when I find out about Kirin's closing date.
