Sorry to hear your relationship ended, but it sounds like you made the right choice. Aggression problems are no good... and I know the slow decay ending. Just try not to go back and forth with each other too much... the getting back togethers feel great, but it makes things a lot more complicated.

actually the sad part is that he ended it..i'm the type that just cannot end things for the life of me..hopefully this'll get better going forward.

the relationship has pretty much been dead for six months already...i miss what we used to have but i have no desire to go back to him now, given the circumstances.

thanks for the thoughtful words! : )

thanks, i'm taking it a lot better than most ppl expected (and that's me, included). i guess for the most part i was kinda private about our problems and not many ppl knew that we were in any trouble at all...ah well, live and learn! : T

haven't talked to you in a while!!! how are ya doing?

Be strong Connie. Sometimes things are just meant to be. Maybe it's better that it ended now instead of say a messy divorce 20 years later.

Since you guys went out 3 years, you need at least a good 6 months to heal yourself. So take care of yourself in the meantime, meet friends, enjoy your new single life.

haha you know what? i've thought about the EXACT same thing you wrote..."i have it SO much better than couples with 3 kids and a house who get a divorce when they're 45..." a similar scenario would be my own mom...so i know it's defnitely not the end of the world! thanks for the cheering up. : )
