I know your surgery will go fine my friend. None-the-less, I leave you in my prayers to soothe your own anxieties about the matter. I know I would be worried too...I just am completely at peace with the fact that you finally have a chance at something you have wanted so badly and I do think everything will be dandy. So, no worries...or have less worries at least!!

Congratulations on graduating, at long last! I took time off, went back part-time, and didn't finish until I was 28. So I can relate to the "wasn't-really-sure-I-would-ever-accomplish" bit.
Good luck with your surgery. Is it a local or general anasthetic? I don't think I'd like to be conscious for eye surgery. (I think you are for cataract removal and laser correction, no?) Anyway, good luck. It obviously means a lot to you, and I wish you the best!
