Both pictures are from the 'Alexander Sarcophagus' (often called the 'Sidon Sarcophagus') which is currently housed in the Istanbul Archaeological Muesum. (I went there in February and may have, uh, taken a couple of hundred pictures of just the sarcophagus

My Alexander day wasn't very good until I found out it was Alexander day, funny that.

Anyway, these are so interesting, I can't imagine what it must be like to see them in person.
