There is no such thing as a 'British accent'.

We must seriously tell the world. They will never understand. If you come from the British Isles you are either Vinny Jones, Colin Farrell or Hugh Grant, and woe betide you if you try to claim anything different.

Ive never heard of people calling it a British Accent, but it fills me with great amusement that some people do =D (I have a rather guilty Northern Irish accent myself...)
