Oh god, this was gorgeous.

'Christian (Wes Ramsey), a 20-something West Hollywood party boy gets more than he bargains for when he tries to seduce 19-year-old Elder Aaron Davis (Steve Sandvoss), a sexually confused Mormon missionary who moves into his apartment complex. Yes, please make a list...I think I'll go watch that movie tonight, when I'm done with my test *shudders* You'll make a very happy person after the torture I'll be going through today, trying to get a good score for law school :)

Right, since you asked so nicely and because you've got to suffer through a test I'll do the list for you. Can't promise it'll be up today, but hopefully by the end of next week. But do, do, do watch 'Latter Days' - it's just amazing. And it'll cheer you up, even though it probably won't seem like it with all the angst. I was grinning like an idiot by the end. XD

Good luck with the test! All my fingers and toes are crossed for you!

Oh thank you!

The books with slash in them. Have you ever read Mercedes Lackey's Last Herald-Mage trilogy, it's a whole lot like flangst fanfic. But yes, the slash in there reads just like fanfic.

No problem - I hope it went well!

There's a surprising number of books out there with slash in them once you start digging around. Some of them aren't brilliant but quite a few have made it into my top ten books of all time. The list's quite extensive so I think I'll probably just pick my favourites - that'll still be enough for a good couple of months of reading!

Yes, I've read the 'Last Herald Mage' trilogy. I wanted to slap Vanyel! All he did was angst, angst, angst. I mean Tylendel was really not that great a person but Vanyel sort of glorifies his memory once he's dead. You're right, it's very, very fanfic-ish. I think, sadly, the trilogy is probably one of my least favourite 'slashy' books because of that fanfic quality and the way the reader ends up drowning in angst.

Ooh, will have to watch.

And yes, rec list, please! The only gay film I've seen besides Brokeback was this one movie that had Pink in the title and was about some Indian guy who's kind of a schizophrenic....it was a little weird...

OMG that was on the list of films we watched. I think the one you're talking about is Touch of Pink, where the main character has an imaginary friend who (I think) was meant to be Cary Grant. It was really, really odd. I spent a lot of that movie scratching my head and swinging between amused and weirded out. XD

Yes! I couldn't remember, but I knew there was a word thagt started with T and Pink in it. I watched it about a year ago, and am still in mild confusion. It was amusing.

Also, I love your new layout!

It was a fun film and definitely amusing to watch - I adored the guy's mother: she was completely neurotic. I think the gist of it was that he escaped reality by having an imaginary friend who offered him advice, and then in the end decides he's going to grow up and leave his friend behind. Possibly.

Hee! Thank you! I was thinking about strawberries all day and eventually decided that if I had to think about them, so did everyone else. Then of course I needed a new icon, and who better than Charlie David and his strawberry eating tendencies? ;)
