So in a strange coincidence, the first two books I read this month were Speaker for the Dead and Legacy of the Dead.  And I can be a dork about random stuff.  So... I decided to try to see how far I could get through the month reading books with Dead in the title.

Only - all I have at home is Death By Darjeeling, Handling the Undead, and Hunter's

*LAUGH* Well, there's Dead Days of Summer by Carolyn Hart (a mystery), or Dead Man's Mirror by Agatha Christie.

Unfortunately for you, the only others I can think of are
1. Dead Men's Boots by Mike Carey
2. Oscar Wilde and the Dead Man's Smile by Giles Brandreth
3. Sister of the Dead by Barb Hendee

...all three are books from series, and none is book one. (Although if you like, you could read them without reading the first in the series...I don't do that, but you might!) LOL

I posted and then thought - you're going to be all over this with a third of the novels Agatha Christie's ever written. ;) Death under The Sun was my first thought, but I was sure she had others. Thanks for the list - I've read the first Mike Carey book... and lo and behold, the library actually HAS a copy of Dead Men's Boots. So that's a definite possibility.
I may have Dead Man's Mirror. Hmm.
