i called my dad to wish him a happy birthday and asked how he felt. he said it was harder to get out of bed this morning than yesterday because that extra year really did something to him. i wished he was joking, but i dont think he was. he told me that mom and him are trying to get the house ready to sell and up its "curb appeal" by replacing

Interesting subject. You make 27 seem so old. The truth is you still have your entire life ahead of you. I know you and i know that you have a lot of love to give to a relationship. You're going to make someone very happy one day. Why put pressure on yourself though? I know you 'want' a family, 'want' kids, 'want' a partner. What do you really need? Your faith seems to be your answer for most of the questions i've ever asked you...why don't you just trust in god that he'll provide you what you want and what you need. You'll end up living a happy and very fulfilling life, i'm sure of it, you deserve it. Cut yourself some slack though.
