Welcome...to Twilight!
Drabbly ficlet-type thing I wrote after reading #34 and never posted here, for some reason...
Takes place immediately following #34.

"Welcome…to Twilight!" Angel spreads his arms expansively.
Buffy blinks. "Twilight?" She's still a bit dazed from their earlier actions.
"Twilight!" Angel confirms. "A place where vampires and humans can live together in near-harmony. I never thought that we'd make it here…"
Suddenly, Buffy realizes that the sun is shining down on them through the clouds above. "Angel!" She hurries to cover him, but he shakes his head.
"Look, Buffy. It's alright!" He's sparkling, and she's suddenly very afraid.
"Wait. When you say Twilight…"
But she's cut off by the sound of laughing. "Wait up, Edward!"
The pale, sparkly vampire who appears in the distance turns around. "Have I left you behind? I'm coming, Bella! You'll never escape me!" The lovers vanish from sight, murmuring what might or might not have been sweet platitudes or creepy stalker-talk.
Buffy groans, clapping a hand to her forehead. "Not that Twilight!" And suddenly, she is heartily wishing that she had just staked Angel when he ripped off that mask…

Seriously, Joss, you can't send your glowy vampire to a world called Twilight and expect us to take you seriously after that...
