Ooh, same over here. Although, I do it with books and comics too. I only start thinking once I've finished it.

I sometimes do that thing where you read half a dozen pages and realize you've taken none of it in. But that ususally means I'm tired.

I don't have anything to add particularly, but I just wanted to say I wish I could write as nicely as you. Things like tastes and music I find almost impossible to put into words in the way you have so well in the first paragraph.
