This isn't a message about my workplace but about something I saw on Sunday at a well known sandwich chain ( Read more... )

Holy common sense, Batman, but um...how am I gonna get my power-trip in this Subway sammich life otherwise?! Peon, how dare you ignore me, thy Earl of Sandwich!

I never leave my crap behind on tables either, I was starting to suspect that we're a dying breed. Especially places like McD, they have convenient garbages EVERYWHERE. I've seen people not shuffle their TRAY a whole FIVE FEET from their table. Too hard!

I don't either. I'll even wipe down after the kids at an ice-cream place. We tip good at restaurants too, because when I go to one, it's usually party of thirteen. Everybody knows it has to be shitty to wait on that many at once.

When I go to a restaurant, we're talking Harvester or Pizza Hut!, I pile the plates so that when the waiter comes to the table to clear it, it's easier and quicker because all they have to do it pick up the one pile of plates (which is usually only 2 or 3) and carry them away ( ... )

People can be very lazy. I know that your in a take-away place and part of their job is to keep the place tidy but personally I don't think that includes putting peoples rubbish in a bin, that's been provided, and is only 2ft away! It's like people who drop litter because there isn't a bin directly to their left or right. Keep hold of it until you get to a bin.
How'd you guess the sandwich shop;-)

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago! Poor girl, working a line of 8 people all waiting for their sandwiches and there was a very long line between the ovens and registers so she'd have to take them one by one. I was half-tempted to ask her where her manager was and for them to get off their ass in the back, and I'm sad that I didn't have the spoons to do that then.
