i can't even, co-worker, help me, idiot alert, not paid enough for this shit, nobody will miss you, i quit, laziness, grown ass ppl acting like children, someone's gonna get fired, overworked, who do you think you are?!, short staffed, from bad to worse, under-staffed, shut up shut up shut up, absences, you're fired, thx for making it harder on everyone, wtf, you're not helping, retail: grocery store, unprofessionalism, worst day ever, doing somebody else's damn job for them

I agree. I mean, and i say this all the time because i have co workers who won't do a lot of their job duties, there are many people out of work who would love to have any job at all. and yet, they(the coworkers) basically are phoning it in, or in the case of the OP, not. sigh. sucks. sorry, OP. keep us posted if they get in trouble

Unfortunately for us, in my company at least, they get 3 strikes. The first is a write-up. The second is I believe a talk with the upper management. The third is a suspension. If they do it again after that, then they are fired.

I wish I could just fire them after the first offense too. But I'm not a management.

Make the 3 of them work during your busiest hours by themselves while everyone else takes the day off.

I wouldn't even answer my phone that day if I was part of that everyone-else crowd, and saw an incoming call from my work.

Party Saturday, sleep off the hangover Sunday, get up to watch the game. Work? Who cares about work?

There are people out there for whom this is a chronic pattern, and yet somehow they often manage not to get fired. I don't get it.

I hope your 3 get kicked out.

Wow. The only time that is ok is a family emergency (happened to me, I had no working phone at the time and did not have a supervisor's number memorized. But my ass still found internet access and e-mailed them direct). But at some point in the day, don't you try to reach someone?

Legitimate (justified) cursing, within reason (no overt racism sexism shaming blah blah), and with a cut/warning (thank you!) are definitely cool. This entirely fits said parameters. Excellent tagging job as well.
