I don't have a problem with pranks. In my office, things aren't always the best, so a little fun is a good thing. I've never seen a prank pulled out of hate for someone, so I've been fine with the ones I've seen ( ... )

Voice activated is pretty funny.

Doing it in good spirit makes the difference and I don't have anything against that, but I have seen them used in a mean-spirited fashion.

I got pranked once, way back when we used to deliver mail out of our own vehicles. Mine was in bad shape at the time. The old custodian put a sign on my door saying, "Galloping Kharmii: 800 mailboxes injured; 300 killed". I thought it was hilarious.

We all work outside, but for some weird reason, there are a lot of people there who are afraid of nature. There's one lady with convincing fake rats and snakes she scares people with. It wouldn't work on me. I'd just be disappointed.

The funniest is when someone threatens to do something horrible as a prank, but then acts like they don't know why people don't think it's a good idea. Over Christmas, this one guy pretended like he was going to prank everyone by peeing on the door handle in the men's bathroom. When people got disgusted, he said, "Why aren't you people into my holiday hijinks?"

That's all I can think of now. I'll bet anything, I'll be remembering good ones all day.

Bad prank first: After I requested that our store be put on a different route after the driver repeatedly sexually harassed me, I saw the truck pull up a little ways down the street. I was freaking out a bit, thinking that the guy might come into the store to buy a soda and ask where I was, so I asked the cashier to see if it was that asshole. "Yeah, it's him... and you might want to run, he's walking down here." I flipped my shit, sat in a corner in the kitchen until my anxiety attack passed. My cashier didn't realize how horrible of a prank it was until he saw me 15 minutes later and I told him that if he ever did that again, he was fired. Later I found a note in my notebook apologizing, and asking what I wanted from Chipotle "my treat ( ... )

On our directors last day of work, we had streamers hanging from the ceiling of her office, just in front of her monitor, balloons all over the floor and she was sprayed with silly string as she walked up to the door.
All in good fun, she was laughing.
Still...a sad day for all of us. I know I'll miss her terribly.

Aw, it's good to know in your difficult workplace that you manage to still have some fun (without repercussions like that Xmas incident - yikes).
