I have a friend on my f-list who works with someone this clueless. Yikes. I'm sorry that happened to you. They also sound like the kind of jabberbox who has to make everything about themselves.

If a person wants to issue a warning, even if there is truth to her statement, there is a far more compassionate way to say it. You would've been right to get upset with her. It's decent of you to care for your family so much.
