Yep, sadly. I was basically stolen from another restaurant to become manager at a restaurant by an assistant manager. I thought we were close, I often went out with her son and his friend, who was also a co-worker. Next thing I know, I'm hearing that she's telling people that my belief in the paranormal has brought the spirit back of a co-worker who'd passed and that I was making him haunt her when she was alone in the restaurant. We ended up having employees come to our restaurant from one that closed a few blocks up and one of their managers HATED me. Not sure why. Everyone was scared of her so when she fired me, the manager who I THOUGHT was my friend, I found out she'd completely thrown me under the bus. I was so hurt. I ended up moving back to Ohio 3 weeks later, completely unplanned, so it worked out (gave me time to pack, time to enjoy my last days in Colorado, etc.) but it was still shitty.

If you can seriously get spirits to haunt people, that would be an amazing small business!

Did that person REALLY believe you brought back a spirit? -Because you could have gotten revenge by taking the piss every time you saw her. I would have. :-P

My last boss at Motel 6 had my back for a long while. But when the company started to fire people and after that thing sexually harassed me and my boss did nothing I left. He ended up being forced into early retirement. He got sick with pneumonia. He is a heavy smoker so it was really bad. He had seizures. He was banned from driving so he couldn't work so he had to retire. Karma if you ask me.

Hey there, I've just been going through old posts to make sure I don't double-up on a question, this is a note just to say I hope you're doing well and thanks for your contributions over the years here, as well as within other forums.

My last job before I left my marital home was with a rather lovely toiletries and cosmetics company. I was actually asked to join because I was a regular customer and they knew I was good. When I started we didn't have a manager, they were waiting for one to finish training. When she turned up everything seemed great until we had a pre-Christmas meeting ( ... )
