Firstly, this would annoy a lot of ppl.

Secondly, I had a boss who'd answer this: "Worry about yourself." It's sort of good advice, but then...it doesn't clear up perceived injustices.

Three, maybe he (or your coworkers) think you do it more than others or too much in general.

Four, hard to know without asking.

I would be inclined to bring it to manager's attention that you were pulled up but Colleague A and B were not while behaving as you had without reprimand. That is a huuuuuuuuuuge peeve of mine and a former manager of mine used to use this tactic to bully myself and others that were not his favourites. It created such a toxic atmosphere in the store that I eventually left.

Ugh, I hate when that happens. But that was good advice, worry about yourself. If he keeps on you about stuff but lets other's slide, I'd document it and then bring it up. But DO NOT SAY you don't let me but you let X and Y do it! Say how you are confused about the talking policy and how it pertains to you and others, just don't say who.

No you aren't the only one. I've had it where my ex-manager would berate me for wasting my last 5 minutes of my shift because I could have done lots and lots and lots then she herself would spend 20 minutes chatting in the office about her boyfriend. The hypocrisy is strong in these people.

Same thing happens in my office. Me and another girl who are the newest (though I've been here 6 years, her I think like 3) are NOT ALLOWED to talk to each other about anything un-work related by her supervisor (unless on designated breaks). And even if we are talking about something work-related, if it any conversation goes on for more than 30 seconds she will barge in, bring down her decree without letting us work it out ourselves, and end it as quickly as possible.

This "rule" applies to no one else. But that's pretty much because her supervisor is an evil micromanager, who I think only feels she can wield her full power on the two of us because we are the youngest/newest. Can't wait till she retires.
