Right. So, the deed is done. Or at least begun. I have brackets on all but seven of my teeth, and archwires connecting those brackets. My last molars, upper/lower, both sides, do not have brackets yet. The orthodontist said we'll put those on after four or five adjustments. The other three without brackets are the doomed teeth. Ooh, that's an interesting question. I want to think that the cheekpads would be too high up to matter, but who knows?

Anyway, I remember my own ordeal, and I wish you maximum patience with the flossing chore, and I warn you away from citrus. Keep some wax around in case an anchor comes loose (unlikely, but it can happen). Go Tigers! And by "Tigers," I mean "your teeth to the right places."

Just rode for the first time, with no apparent ill effects. Yay! I was in quite a bit of pain Thursday night and Friday. It's slacked off a bit, but it's still ouchy enough that I'm going to stick with soup and yogurt for a while. :D

And yes, flossing is a BITCH. Not only does it take what feels like an hour, but I have to open my mouth wide enough to get my fat fingers in there, which causes my lips to put pressure on my teeth and it HURTS.
