I loooove snakes, too. How many do you have actually? And btw, very nice pics.
og Guro sier ehh... ikke hei nei, for det fikk hun ikke til å stave... (translation: and Guro (my friend) says ehh.. not hi, no, cause she wasn't able to spell it...)
Ok, I'm sorry for this, this friend just came and typed the text above and made me promise I won't delete it. :-D Man, that was random!
"When a thing you love becames something you have to do, it stops being fun." I feel exactly the same way; that's why I only made art my minor... Too much pressure and constriction kills it for me. Hope you get some sleep soon!
...Also, those snakes are BEAUTIFUL! OMG! Thank you so much for posting those! =oD
No, I honestly secretly hoped you'd (or someone like you) comment. :D I really want to learn.
I actually even knew about the trimeresurus - viridovipera thing, but I guess I was just being pig-headed about it because the show duded still used trimeresurus themselves and they are probably a lot smarter about this than I am. :P

I have four at the moment. Two ball pythons, one red-tailed boa and one burmese python. :) But there will be lots more!

Careful what you wish for :)
Crotalus ...something?
Crotalus durissus :)
Is this Agkistrodon bilineatus taylori?
Yep, though they have been elevated to species status - Agkistrodon taylori (Parkinson et al, 2000).
And from African deserts to Asian jungles: trimeresurus vogeli.
Which has been reclassified to Viridovipera vogeli (Malhotra & Thorpe, 2004).
Elaphe taeniura, also a kind of ratsnake.
Has also been reclassified to Orthriophis taeniurus (Utiger et al, 2002).
And *drum roll* of course I saved the best for last!
Agreed!
