The Ron Carter poem should actually have big spaces within certain lines (e.g., "Sometimes still [giant space] in my deepest sleep. / Someone orders "Turn" [giant space] and we turn.), but it didn't show up as entered. So the sense is still the same, but the appearance is not. I don't know how to fix that, though. Oh well.

A couple of ways to fix that, ranging from the elegant (which I'm not exactly sure how to do, but I'm pretty sure involves either tags or CSS commands) to the brute force, which is to just add a tag for every blank line you want.
And yes, those poems were depressing, though the anti breeding one is also witty.
